Dream Jar

Hey, it's Lexa! So, here is a really cool way to keep track of all your dreams, and once you complete them!

What you need:
  • Colorful Paper (Unless you want boring white paper, but I color coded my 'dreams' which I will explain in a minute)
  • A jar (I used a baby food jar, but you can use a big mason jar, small mason jar, or even a box or something else to store your 'dreams')
  • DREAMS (Because if you have any dreams or goals, go find a better way to spend your time)

Instructions:
  1. Cut the paper into little pieces that are small, but big enough to write on.
  2. Optional: Color code them!! Use small piece of paper to tape to the lid with the key. (Such as, Blue= school, or Pink=volunteering. Then Blue pieces of paper will be school related goals, and pink will be dreams related to volunteering) You could also just randomly write goals on colorful paper if you want.
  3. Write down your dreams!!
  4. Fold them (or roll them) and drop them in your jar
  5. make extra pieces of paper to keep somewhere in case you have a new dream to add
  6. Optional: Decorate the jar. I used glow-in-the-dark paint to randomly paint on the inside of the jar.
Now, when you need inspiration to do something, look through your dream jar!

When you've completed a dream:
Let's say your dream was to get straight a's through all of this year at school. Well, you did! Yay!
Just find the dream in your jar (This is when color coding helps!) and here are a couple options of what you can do:
  • Put a checkmark next to the dream on the piece of paper, or highlight it, and stick it back in the jar. Now when you are looking through you can feel happy that you complete it!
  • Move it to a 'Completed dreams' jar.
  • I guess you can throw it out. 😞 I wouldn't, but you can if you want to. Actually, scratch that. RECYCLE IT! That's a better option.
  • Anything else you can thing of. BUT NOT LITTERING!! Anything but that. SAVE THE EARTH! 😁😂
Yay!! Keep adding to your jar!! If you have any questions or comments, you can email us or post comments. Now, go have fun with your Dream Jar!
