Bonjour! That's French, as most of you probably know. It's Lexa here! Keep scrolling down for a simple, healthy chocolate donut recipe!
Total time: 20 minutes
Ingredients:
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 cup unsweetened milk
- 1/4 cup plain/vanilla yogurt
- 2 tbsp. coconut oil or butter, melted
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp. melted chocolate chips.
- preheat oven to 375 degreed Fahrenheit
- Lightly grease a donut pan
- In a large mixing bowl, combine cocoa powder, sugar, flour, baking soda, and baking powder
- In a separate bowl, whisk the egg, milk, yogurt, butter, chocolate, and vanilla extract.
- Add to flour mixture
- Stir gently until combined
- pour into pan and bake for 8-10 minutes
Glaze Ingredients:
- 3/4 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp. unsweetened milk
- 1 tbsp. vanilla extract
Glaze Directions:
- Combine ingredients and stir until smooth
- Place wire rack over a piece of parchment and spoon the glaze onto each donut after they are out of the oven, or dip the donuts in it
- Repeat with all donuts
- Enjoy!
